Mystery Quilt Workshop

I hope mine turns out as good as this one

 Betty Ann held two workshop session last week to show the mystery quilt # 2 (scrappy) participants how to assemble the block.  Betty Ann also gave us some tips on how to construct the borders.   The finished quilt she bought to the class is beautiful. 

We all enjoyed putting together the block puzzle.  Each quilt will look similar but be very different. Can't wait to see them all at show and share...



This is a happy group..one block finished and 29 more to go !!!!



Merchant's Mall

What a great turnout from our members/vendors Merchant's Mall.  Lot of great stuff for sale and lots of things to look at.  Let's do it again next year!!!

Mystery Quilt Workshops

The dates for the mystery quilt workshops have been set. To finish your quilt you will need to take one workshop. The cost is $5.00.
The dates are:

Quilt number 1 (lap quilt)
Tuesday May 22
Tuesday May 29
Maximum 15 per class

Quilt number 2 (scrappy)
Tuesday April 3
Thursday April 5
Maximum 19 per class

There will be sign up sheets at the "workshop" table at Monday's meeting. Please note that the scrappy quilt workshop is prior to the April meeting...so you must sign up this month.

Raffle Quilt

Many of our members are diligently quilting our beautiful Raffle Quilt....our showpiece for next year's Quilt Show.  However, Donna still needs more people to help finish this project.  Join the fun and friendship by volunteering to help.  Donna will have sign up sheets at the Guild meeting on Monday. 

Curved Pieces Work Shop

Eleanor Pastic held her Curved Pieces Work Shop on February 23rd.  The day was very busy and the ladies learned some of Eleanor's amazing techniques.  The pictures below, supplied by Frances Emery, show some of the creations made that day.

Little Quilt Group

The Guild's Little Quilt Group made a bright red bird quilt this month.  Eleanor Plewes was the designated leader.  Great work ladies.

Eleanor Pastic Featured Speaker

 

Our February meeting speaker was Eleanor Pastic an award winner member of our Guild. Her topic was "Curved Pieces". Her trunk show displaying her examples of this technique was amazing!! An other example of the great talent in our guild. Thank you Eleanor for sharing your beautiful work with us.
